The 2001 harvest was characterized by dry weather and average to cool temperatures with a crisp month of March. The year’s ripening period was longer by more than two weeks, which resulted in highly concentrated, fleshy wines with a velvety texture and great aromatics.

BLEND

Malbec (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (60%).

COLOUR

Deep black cherry.

AROMAS

Great intensity, opening up in the glass into very complex hints of cherry jam, dried apricots and mint with slightly floral notes, such as violets, together with chocolate and tobacco.

PALATE

Powerful on the palate with a perfect balance. The fruit predominates with flavours of black cherry, blackcurrant and confit notes, mingling with flavours of chocolate, spices and almonds. The tannins that come through in the finish add a wonderful elegance to the remarkably fresh fruit in this great wine.
