The year 2004 had the driest spring in five years, with normal bud break, good healthy shoots, and no frost damage. This dry weather remained through the beginning of the summer, resulting in beautiful fruit development with average-sized clusters. In December, our vineyards received a few intense showers that cooled down an already mild summer, delaying our Cabernet Sauvignon harvest until late April. It was a superb year for Malbec, with good intensity and concentration.

BLEND

Malbec (55%), Cabernet Sauvignon (43%), Petit Verdot (2%).

COLOUR

Profound core of black-crimson framed by inviting traces of bright violet.

AROMASĀ

Notes of fresh berries, complemented by subtle hints of moist earth and slate. Residual aromas of truffles, spice and walnuts dominate the glass after swirling.

PALATE

Envelops the senses with notes of elegant, warm bramble and forest berries. A complex mid-palate with a medium structure. Jam, preserves and floral notes evolve into a long finish, with lingering reminders of Andean minerality, mushrooms and wood spices.
